A Place To Drop Thoughts

A Place To Drop Thoughts

Let's Change It Up One Last Time

Since moving all of the games over to FartDump.com, I've been thinking long and hard about what to do with Wisedocks.com. No one thing has stuck out as a fun thing to build. So, I'm going back to the same idea I've had over and over again.... just unload my thoughts.

Like I've said many times before, I'm not a people person. When anyone tries to befriend me, I actively push them away. That's why blogging is so enticing. It's a place to unload my thoughts instantly. The problem with traditional blogging though is that every post takes so much time to setup. You have to create a featured image, come up with a catchy title, create a slug URL, set a category, write your post, edit and proofread your post, make an excerpt in under 160 characters, and hope search engines find your post so they will serve it to the world.

That's a lot of bullshit to go through when social media does the same exact thing. Except, here, I control the narrative. I decide what gets taken down and filtered through. I control my content.

The thing is, I don't even care if anyone reads my posts. So, I keep going back and forth with trying to do this right and trying to do it my way. I set up a micro blog on FartDump so I would have a place to talk about new features and updates on the site and it's much more fun to use than the long form setup I have here on Wisedocks.

So, to give me a place to rant about life, hobbies, and whatever else I want to talk about, I'm going to try to slowly move Wisedocks to that type of format. No matter what I've tried, SEO wise, this site just refuses to gain any attention. That, to me, makes this a great place to just blog about whatever I want.

Move Stuff Around

I'm thinking about dropping the tools menu down to the footer because I may very well add more later. Ditch the featured images that are all over the place, and even ditch the categories altogether. If I want to find an old post for whatever reason, I can search it.

TLDR; I think Wisedocks will just stay my personal open to the world diary. The other websites can have their own niche. Every other website I have does fairly well. This is the only domain that gets virtually zero traffic other than the occasional idiot that finds the link on one of my profiles and wants to snoop me out. lol
