Welcome to Wisedocks—my personal playground for learning and experimenting with web development. This site has been my digital homebase for nearly 20 years, where I tinker with PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and anything else that catches my interest.
Building Wisedocks is like solving a giant puzzle—it’s where I get to test new ideas, break things, and (hopefully) figure out how to fix them. I spend just as much time coding and improving the site itself as I do thinking about what content to add. At the end of the day, it’s my little corner of the internet to geek out and share what I’ve learned.
Hi, I’m Jason Wiseman. I live in Bentonville, AR, and I’ve been building Wisedocks off and on since its early days as a Geocities page (yeah, I’m that old). Back then, I didn’t know much about web development, but I loved the idea of creating something from scratch.
I originally registered Wisedocks.com in 2005, let it expire around 2012, and briefly brought it back a few years later. In 2022, I bought the domain for a third time and decided to keep it going—this time for good. Today, I’ve turned Wisedocks into my homebase for learning and experimenting with web design and development.
At first glance, Wisedocks might not seem like a very large website, but there are layers to this onion that I’ve tucked away over time. If you’re curious about some of the other projects I’ve been tinkering with beyond the blog, take a peek at the Side Projects page.
When I’m not working on Wisedocks, I’m diving into my other personal projects:
Each site has its own personality, but they’re all part of my journey as a developer. They let me explore different styles, themes, and challenges while keeping things fun.
Wisedocks is more than just a website—it’s my creative outlet. It started as a way to learn and experiment, but over the years, it’s become my favorite project. Whether I’m tweaking the design, coding new features, or writing random rants, this site keeps me inspired and motivated to keep learning.
At its core, Wisedocks is a reflection of me: a mix of chaos, curiosity, and a love for building things. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy exploring the site as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it. Feel free to reach out if you have questions, feedback, or just want to say hi.
