Burned It All Down for Stupid Fun

Simple Games. Stupid Fun.

It’s that time of year again, where I throw everything out and start fresh.

In my heart of hearts, I’ve always wanted Wisedocks to be an arcade site. I’ve tried other directions (blogs, AI art, wallpapers, random tools) because they were “easier,” but I keep circling back to the same question: why? None of it hits like the arcade idea does.

I looked into buying a premade arcade system, but let’s be real, they’re all the same. Thousands of recycled Flash-era games, zero personality. And the price tag? Way too high for a low-reward gamble. So I shelved the idea.

But then… Fartdump happened. Built in a day, but used more than any of my other websites.

That site’s dumb, quirky, and fun, and people actually use it. Then I built a simple clicker game here on Wisedocks, and boom, it’s now one of the most visited pages. So yeah, maybe I’ve been ignoring the obvious: people come to these sites when they’re bored and want something fun to mess with.

I finally stopped fighting it.

I scrapped the fluff: AI images, wallpapers, broken chat, quotes, all gone. Didn’t even bother with redirects. Just burned it down and got to work on the arcade concept. Built a custom hook system to log scores, track stats, and have started porting in HTML5/JavaScript games, both new and retro.

It’s early days. Right now, I’ve got three games, so I’m not calling this a full arcade site just yet. But give it a few months. I’m going to focus entirely on building a collection of fun, stupid little games and gamified nonsense. And may be bring back the ole Wisebux. The world’s most pointless prestige currency. Earn it, flaunt it, buy nothing with it.

Membership will finally mean something too so login, and your progress gets saved. Even the Wisedockle word game now tracks your wins. I’ll be adding player profiles soon, with stats, high scores, and maybe some other fun extras.

This isn’t about making money. I’ll show one ad per page, no popups, and if you’ve got an ad blocker... whatever. I’m not trying to get rich. I just want to keep the lights on while building something fun.

As for the blog? It’s staying, but eventually it’ll get tucked away in the footer. I still like rambling here from time to time, even if it’s once every few months. It’s not going anywhere… just not front and center.

In the age of AI search and auto-generated content, maybe there’s still room for a site built for bored people. A digital arcade of dumb fun. I could be wrong, I usually am, but screw it. If it flops, at least I’ll have learned something I can use on the next great idea.

Let’s play.
